Geocache Description:

This is the first of what I hope will be many caches! As always you
have to be carefull of Muggles, when I placed this cache there were
many there fishing or just hiking. The terrain is easy, but you may
encounter mud depending on the season.

This cache is placed tin the Dewitt Recreational Area... Or known
by many locals as "The Sandwash". The Sandwash was owned by the
Dewitt Family and was originaly a gravel pit. The family then
donated it to Genesee County to be turned into a park to be enjoyed
by the residents of the County. The Park is run by The Genesee
County Parks,Recreation, and Forestry Division. They are currently
working to improve the trail around the Sandwash. The park has many
things to offer you, like fishing, hiking, and pavilions . So bring
your lunch, your fishing pole and your GPS and enjoy this great
little park in Batavia! I was told the water has receded... Finaly!!! I'll be cheking it often.
