La piccola località di Ceves si trova lungo l’antico sentiero della posta tra Laion e Ortisei.
Ceves (ted. Tschöfas) è una piccolissima località di 120 abitanti nel comune di Laion, a 1210 m.s.l.m. Situato su un soleggiato pendio rivolto a sud questa località è l’ideale per piacevoli passeggiate tra prati e boschi. Tra le numerose escursioni nella zona di Ceves consigliamo l’antico sentiero della posta che collega Laion a San Pietro, oppure i sentieri nr. 34 e 35 che dalla malga Ramitzler Schwaige (1800 m.) conducono al monte Rasciesa (2270 m.).
Oltre alla natura ed al meraviglioso paesaggio, nella piccola località di Ceves troverete anche una graziosa chiesetta dedicata a San Giacomo e sulla cui facciata principale è dipinta una meridiana.

Am Lajener Poststeig auf 1210 m Meereshöhe liegt der kleine Ort Tschöfas.
Tschöfas (ital. Ceves) ist ein kleines Dorf mit etwa 120 Einwohnern in der Gemeinde Lajen, am Eingang des Grödnertales. Die Siedlung liegt am sonnigen Südhang, ideal für gemütliche Wanderungen durch Wiesen und Wälder.
Zu den Wanderwegen durch Tschöfas zählt z.B. der Poststeig von Lajen nach St. Peter, oder die Wege Nr. 34 und 35, die über die Ramitzler Schwaige (1800 m) bis auf die Raschötz (.2270 m) hinauf führen.
Eine Sehenswürdigkeit im Ort ist die schöne Kirche zum Hl. Jakob, an deren Aussenfassade eine Sonnenuhr gemalt ist.

Along the famous “Sentiero della Posta“ trail, there is the little village of Ceves, located at 1,210 m asl.
Ceves, in German called Tschöfas, is a little village boasting some 120 inhabitants. It belongs to the municipality of Laion and is located at the entrance of the Valgardena valley. This settlement extends at the sun-drenched southern slope and is ideal for pleasant walks across the lushly green meadows and forests.
One of the most famous hiking trails in this area is the “Sentiero della Posta“ trail to San Pietro, or the paths n° 34 and 35, taking to the cosy Ramitzler Schwaige mountain hut (1,800 m) to the Rasciesa mountain (2,270 m).
Another sight in the village is the gorgeous S. Giacomo church, the façade of which is adorned by a sundial.
