Kärleksstigen i Visby löper fram i ett naturskönt och närmast trolskt naturreservat under Galgbergets tvärbranta klintkant. Inte undra på att förälskade par har valt detta ställe att vandra hand i hand på! Även fast området är så vackert är det relativt okänt för många av Visbys besökare.
Här, på den bördiga marken under klinten, finns en rik och omväxlande flora. Slingrande rankor av murgröna hänger ner som lianer bredvid stigen, små bäckar med sitt ursprung i berget ringlar sig fram här och var. I maj – juni blommar örten ramslök med sina vita blommor. Cachen är belägen i ett naturreservat. Vänligen respektera reservatet och dess föreskrifter, bland annat att man inte får skada växter eller kasta skräp.
En bra utgångspunkt för att promenera eller cykla till cachen är att ta sig till parkeringen (se koordinater) där stigen har sin början. Där finns även en informationsskylt som berättar mer om floran och naturreservatet. Nära parkeringen invid stigen ligger även en förhistorisk labyrint, en så kallad Trojaborg som man kan springa och leka i.
“The path of love” runs in a beautiful and almost magical nature reserve near the cliff edge called Galgberget. No wonder that lovers choose this place for their hand-in-hand walks. Even though the area is very beautiful, it is relatively unknown to many of Visby’s visitors. Here, on the fertile soil beneath the cliff, many interesting plants grow. Meandering vines of ivy hang down next to the path, small creeks with their origin in the mountain wind their way down to the sea. In May-June, the wild garlic herb called “ramslök” flowers with white beauty. The cache is located in a nature reserve. Please respect the park and its regulations, including that one must not harm plants or throw garbage.
A good starting point to walk or cycle to the cache is to get to the parking lot (see coordinates). Here you can also find an information board that tells us more about the flora and the nature reserve. Near the parking lot beside the path is also a prehistoric maze, called “Trojaborg”, which you can run and play in.
