By a footpath between a craft centre and a peat works, easy and level but beware stinging nettles on route, though not by the cache itself.
This cache is located on a footpath between the peat works and the nearby Visitors Centre. There is limited parking at the peat works end and it is suggested that you park at the Visitors Centre. Here you will find an eco-friendly cafe, craft centre, information about the surrounding area and toilets. There are two options to avoid an out and back walk - firstly as a circular walk from the Visitors Centre with a road walk at the end, or secondly the favourite of Sniffy and Fluffy's mum - chuck children, dog and husband out at the peat works, drive round to the centre and have half an hour with a brew and a shop!!
On this walk you will see the peat works, plus the spectacular wildlife of the area. If you are lucky there may even be an otter! Other walks in the area across the nature reserves do not allow dogs, but this footpath does not have restrictions other than the usual common sense dog owner considerations with livestock.
There are a number of other caches in the area that can be completed at the same time.
