Geocache Description:

A small camouflaged tube hidden along the canal towpath.
Depending on how you approach this; the terrain can be slippery and muddy - very muddy!!!

The Herefordshire and Gloucestershire Canal follows an almost entirely rural course for 34 miles through the glorious countryside of Gloucestershire and Herefordshire.
This was one of the last major narrow canals to be completed in Britain.
The Herefordshire and Gloucestershire Canal Trust is restoring the Canal as a navigable waterway, which, when completed, will rank as one of the most attractive cruising routes in the country.

Cold Harbour Bridge has been restored by the Trust as part of the project.
The towpath walk is a very pleasant place for an outing.
Approaching this cache the towpath deteriorates. It becomes more muddy and rutted. In high summer it is difficult to define the banks through foliage and in winter very slippery from mud.
Take great care with loose children and leave any buggies behind.
(Beyond the bridge it can be walked only with extreme care)
