Geocache Description:

The reservoir was built in 1956 to supply Northampton with water & is the third-largest in the United Kingdom, with a surface area of 2.85 square miles. Operated by Anglian Water, the reservoir is near the village of Pitsford, from which it is named. The northern half of the reservoir is designated as a nature reserve, but Pitsford Water is also used for sailing, birdwatching and fishing.

Located on a path leading to a great view of the reservoir, the cache is also near the start of a long walk or cycle. For anyone feeling energetic it is about 7 miles all the way round the reservoir.

The cache is a small container, big enough for a log book, pencil and maybe a TB or very small swaps.
