Geocache Description:

News in the swamp is, that someone is having another birthday! A very special birthday for a very special boy! A person has only one day to call his ninth birthday, and today that belongs to Michael Lippincott (IHFF Junior, to all the locals here) You will find the cache located in a park. There is a playground nearby so bring the little ones!

While most of us have an obsession with geo-caching, Michael is all about trains. If you get the chance, ask him about them. Not about the easy stuff most people may think of, but ask him what traction rating the AC6000 offers in a single-engine freight locomotive. You will be surprised! Alas, there are no trains here in the swamp (where the b-day ogre lives) and nothing train related about the cache...but here are some insignificant trivia facts relating to the number nine! "Number Nine" Beatles song from their "White" album. Nine is the highest single-digit number in the decimal system. Beethoven wrote nine symphonies. Until a few years ago there were 9 planets in our solar system. (How did we lose a planet?) A polygon with 9 angles is called a nonagon. A cockroach will live 9 days without it's head, before it starves to death. The billionth digit in Pi is 9 Donkeys kill more people annually than plane crashes. (okay, nothing to do with the #9, but pretty weird!) Bart Simpson has 9 spikes of hair (since season two anyway) Dogs are referred to as K-9's and cats are thought to have 9 lives. In sports, baseball consists of 9 players on a team and the game itself consists of 9 innings. There are 9 holes in golf, and the standard professional pocket billiards game in the U.S. is Nine ball. There were 9 major gods and goddesses in Egyptian mythology and the #9 has strong associations with the Chinese dragon, a symbol of magic and power. Nine Judges sit on the U.S. Supreme Court and important Buddhist rituals usually involve nine monks. The standard workday begins at 9:00 am (if you work at a bank!) "To the nines", "on cloud nine", "the whole nine yards" are all everyday expressions. The French word 'neuf' means both 'nine' and 'new'. As you count towards nine, you know you are about to make a new start. So you see Michael, number nine is a very important number, and therefore this is a very important day for you to remember. I hope you have a great day and that your entire year is full of fun and magic. ******** HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!******* Eat lots of eyeball jelly, it's good on toast! ****UPDATE****cache was moved a few feet from original location and a new hint is given due to heavy pine cover and gps accuracy only good to 17 feet.
