Geocache Description:

Nano-cache i enkelt flatt terreng. Se opp for mugglere. Ta med egen blyant. Kan være lavt signal pga høye bygninger. Easy terrain, look out for muggles. Signal may be low due to tall buildings. BYO pencil.

På hver sin side av vannkraftlaboratoriet på NTNU kan du se en Pelton-turbin og en Francis-turbin.
Francis-turbinen ble utviklet av den engelske ingeniøren J. Francis i 1849. Turbintypen har fått stor anvendelse ved produksjon av elektrisk energi. Denne turbinen ble designet for Bratsberg vannkraftverk i Nidelva i Trondheim. Pelton-turbinen ble utviklet an den amerikanske ingeniøren L. Pelton i 1890 og brukes i anlegg med større fallhøyde. Denne turbinen ble designet for Aura kraftverk i Sunndal.

The Francis turbine was invented by the English engineer J. Francis in 1849. The turbine type is widely used for production of electric energy. This particular turbine was designed for use in Bratsberg hydroelectric power plant in Nidelva in Trondheim. The Pelton turbine was invented by the American engineer L. Pelton in 1890 and is used in plants with larger hydraulic head. This turbine was designed for the hydroelectric power plant in Aura in Sunndal.
