This cache is located in Barrow town centre next to the town
hall in public seated area. Nice place to sit and have a break (if
the weathers nice).

The nearby statue is of Lord Frederick Cavendish, this statue has
moved around a bit in the past. Before the days of the Forum the
statue was located in the shopping centre the other side of the
town hall. I was later located on the roundabout outside the rugby
ground and then moved to its current location just before the
Millennium.
Lord Frederick Cavendish was one of the founders of Barrow and was
involved in the Iron and Steel industry. He was murdered at Phoenix
Park in Ireland by some Irish extremists in 1882. A memorial window
was erected at St. James Church by the men employed in the iron and
steel works which was dedicated to the late Lord Frederick
Cavendish on St. Andrews day 1882.
Well the Tube didn't last long...... I had plans to change this
into a multi cache and hide the actual cache elsewhere but I
haven't had time due to other commitments. It's not an easy area to
hide a lager cache container so I've decided to downgrade it to a
micro to get it up and running again..... The Tube is dead, long
live the micro. You will need a writing implement to sign the
log.
