Geocache Description:

Based in the three sisters recreation area. There are many well laid out and posted paths that circle the race track. Paths are made of packed sandstone so it is easy to negotiate by foot and bike, also good for pushchairs and the little ones.

During the main summer months of June onwards there are a few nettles growing around near the cache site - so just beware for those little ones who may be with you.

95% of the route is well laid out, but some little "off path" walking will be required. It is still accessible for children, with minor obstacles.

There is a wide range of wildlife and flora around the site and if you get a chance - visit the bird hide, where there are feeding stations. The kids (and the big kids) can watch various birds attacks the nuts within a few feet of yourselves - also a lot of squirrels come there to pinch the food! It is just a minutes walk from the car park!

The cache is in a standard oblong sandwich box with a green lid so is somewhat camouflaged! It contains small gifts for children along with a log sheet. Please put something back if you take something out! Thanks
