Geocache Description:

This is now a magnetic nano, with easy access, parking close by, shorter cachers may need a lift.

This cache is placed on a former tramway from Furness Clough to the Peak Forest Canal.
Furness Clough was served by narrow gauge railway, the wagons being hauled by ponies taking fire clay to the canal wharf. The tramway gauge was 19" and descended steeply along side the former Williamsons green grocer and chip shop, the line passed under Buxton Road (A6) and down beneath the Stockport, Disley & Whaley Bridge Railway to the canal.
While the rails themselves have long gone a public footpath takes a small part of this route and this is where the cache can be found.
When placed cache contains a log and pencil with a magnet in the bottom.
Please ensure the cache is returned as found.

Congratulations to Lodgebarn, FTF within an hour of posting
