Geocache Description:

******THE CACHE IS NOT ON OR ANYWHERE NEAR THE CHURCH PROPERTY******

We travel by this church frequently when we go over the river and through the woods to Nana's house. This is a very old, quaint church that is still very active today. Our cache is across the street; a short hike in to find an ammo can in the woods.

Hopewell Baptist Church was established in 1864. Rev. Henry Morgan was their first pastor. The church was rededicated on July 3, 1994 with a commemorative marker in memory of Sis. Mattie Garrett.

The cache is located on National Forest Land and has been place with permission of the District Ranger. Please DO NOT hunt on the church property, as the cache is no where near the church property.

No FTF pin, but something you really need...a $5.00 Chevron gas card to the FTF!!
