Geocache Description:

A Quick cache and dash and the third of the cornish crosses series

We have noticed so many crosses on the roadside in Penwith so we have decided to start a cornish crosses series. Anyone wishing to add to ther series please contact us for the next available number.
some caches will not be by the cross for either safety to cachers or safety to the cross.

This wheel-headed wayside cross is situated by the A30 at the junction with a minor road running south to St. Buryan. A figure of Christ with outstretched arms and feet turned out is depicted on the north face and it has an old fracture running diagonally just below the neck.

The stone was moved to this site at the beginning of the last century from where it formerly stood at SW40202655 and mounted on its present stepped base stone.
