Geocache Description:

Located on the beautiful common land of Rudge Hill designated a Special Site of Scientific Interest.A short walk under a mile on uneven paths not suitable for wheelchairs or buggies. Please collect numbers from each cache to locate a bonus cache.

Rudge Hill was formerly known as Edge Common. It is now designated as a Site of Special Scientific Interest due to the flower & fauna, especially Duke of Burgundy Fritillary, Small Blue, Dingyskipper & Green Hairstreak butterflies .For the twitchers there are Skylarks & breeding Tree Pipits along with Kestrels & Buzzards. Cowslips are in abundance and this is a beautiful short walk of about 1 1/2 miles with fantastic views. There can be nature lovers with cameras around so please beware when locating the caches. This has been placed with the kind permission of Natural England.
We wanted to set a small walk with a series of caches, which will be suitable for a family to complete easily.
There is a chance to take a break at a pub The Edgemore crossing a busy road if you wish.
Please follow your co-ordinates and do not exit the common near the pub unless you wish to visit it. Please stick to the paths and watch out for the flowers.Part of the walk forms part of the Cotswold Way.
In each cache are numbers leading to the bonus.
Suggested Parking is found in the lay-bys at either
N51 46.722 W002 13.620 ,N51 46.752 W002 13.613 near the entrance to Rudge Hill but negotiate the many paths off the road to get to the gated entrance. You can start at any entrance to Rudge Hill the closer to Randwick/Whiteshill side the shorter the walk. Please take note of the clues it will help.
