Pu'u Paradise!
Instead of pine-ing away at some commercial farm, this adventurous conifer chose to locate itself a fir bit upslope (mauka) near the road to the stars. While the view is much better, the nearby leafy company remains slightly sparse.
Some maps may show a road leading towards the cache, however this is definitely not a park-n-grab and a High-clearance 4WD is needed to make it over the rutted, dusty single-track. This one could void your rental agreement, so please don't try!
The difficulty rating includes the unsteady terrain and 8450ft elevation. Bring plenty of water and good sturdy shoes; no slippah, mon. Take it easy, watch your step...
