A nice easy walk/bike ride along the scenic Kettle Valley Railway...through one of the many places where the railway path was cut through the rocks.
The closest way of reaching the cache is to go to the old "Ruth Station" on the KVR....the road can be a bit rough, so if you have a new Jag you might want to arrive via Myra Canyon...LOL. It is just over 1.5 Km from Ruth Station, and around 11 KM from Myra Canyon. The trail is in great shape either way, and if you have the time the ride/hike past all the trestles is worth the trip.
Just before you come to the rock valley where the cache is located you will pass a nice vista of the city below. Because of the rocks you may have a hard time getting a good GPS signal. I made sure to take several readings, so it should be quite acurate.
The cache is a camoed lock and lock, with a logbook, geocaching note, coins from Colombia, Sweden, and Bermuda, a compass ring, a new TB "Kenny's Last Wish", who wants to make his way around the world, as well as a world geocaching pin for the FTF.
*BEWARE* In the summer the KVR has a great number of muggles riding/hiking the trails...use caution when searching, and please hide the cache well when returning it to it's hiding spot.
Oops...in return for the FTF world geocaching pin, could I ask the FTF to leave a pencil...I just realized that I forgot to leave one.
Congrats to Tycoon Otto for FTF...didn't think it would be found so quick with all the snow..LOL
