Geocache Description:



The monastery was formerly a part of St. Stephen's Meteora.
A major renovation was made in 1718. In 1891 a collapse of part of the monastery has occurred.
The monastery was burned during the period of German occupation.
In recent years the monastery was renovated and has been fully restored.
At the same time a new church was built.
