A short series of caches placed in the picturesque area of Barbon.
Barbon is a small village set in some beautiful countryside popular with walkers and bird watchers. It is probably best known for the Barbon Hill Climb which is held three times a year on the Barbon Manor Estate.
The course runs up what is normally used as the driveway. This is the shortest course of its type in mainland britain at only 890 yards with the course record being 20.50 seconds.
Bluebell Woods is actually known as Barbon Woods but when you visit from late April until early June you will see why - the whole forest floor is carpeted with bluebells.
When placing the cache our accompanying birdwatching friend spotted the Pied Flycatcher, Redstarts and a couple of Wood Warblers, making this a great spot to watch the migrating birds visiting the area.
