Geocache Description:

En cache i närheten av husen tillhörande BRF Backsippan i Uppsala.
A cache close to the houses of the tenant association Backsippan in Uppsala.

SWE
Husen byggdes under åren 1950 till 1951. På fasaden mot Björkgatan finns en muralmålning av en backsippa. Konstnären heter Kees Geurtsen och fasaden målades under våren 1989. Förr i tiden fanns det gott om backsippor i området men de är idag tyvärr utrotningshotade och fridlysta. Blomman och målningen har dock gjort hela kvarteret känt i Uppsala. Troligtvis för att målningen är det enda som är utstickande för detta område av staden.

ENG
The houses were built between 1950 and 1951. On the western edge of the houses there is a mural picturing pasqueflowers. The mural was painted in 1989. Pasqueflowers used to be plenty in the area but they are unfortunately endangered. The flower and the painting has however made the houses famous (sort of) over the entire Uppsala city. Probably becaus the painting is the only unique part of this area of the city.
