[ITA] Albions
Sul versante sinistro della Valle Isarco al di sopra del borgo medievale di Chiusa troviamo il paese di Albions.
La piccola e graziosa frazione di Albions, si trova a 900 m.s.l.m e conta 300 abitanti. Questa località si trova sul versante orientale della Valle Isarco, nelle vicinanze di Villandro.
Nel centro della località troviamo la chiesa dedicata a San Nicolò, che grazie al suo stile architettonico ci riporta nel Medioevo. La chiesa è stata eretta in stile gotico, come testimoniano diverse elementi tranne l’altare in stile barocco.
Un’ altro edificio che cattura l’attenzione è la bella residenza Fonteklaus, in origine era un maso trasformato negli anni in palazzo di caccia divenuto in seguito un ristorante.

Auf 890 m Meereshöhe oberhalb von Klausen, am linken Hang des Eisacktales, liegt das Dorf Albions.
Albions im Gemeindegebiet von Lajen befindet sich auf knapp 900 m Meereshöhe. Das Dorf zählt heute rund 300 Einwohner und liegt am östlichen Hang des Eisacktales gegenüber von Villanders.
Im Mittelpunkt des gepflegten Dorfkerns steht die Kirche zum Heiligen Nikolaus, deren Ursprung auf die Zeit der Gotik zurückgeht, wie man an zahlreichen Stilelementen wie den Spitzbogenfenstern und Portalen sehen kann - der Altar ist im Gegenzug dazu barocken Stils.
Ein weiteres schönes Gebäude, das die Aufmerksamkeit auf sich zieht, ist der Ansitz Fonteklaus. Ursprünglich ein Bauernhof, wurde er später zu einem Jagdschloss ausgebaut und beherbergt heute einen Gasthof.

Located on the left side of the Isarco valley at 890 m asl above Chiusa, there is the village of Albions.
Albions belongs to the municipal territory of Laion at almost 900 m asl. The village boasts some 300 inhabitants and extends on the east side of the Valle Isarco, opposite Villandro.
In the centre of the neat village, there is its church dedicated to Saint Nicholas. This building dates back to the Gothic period, as the wide range of stylistic elements such as lancet windows and portals reveal. The altar, however, is a Baroque masterpiece.
A further remarkable building, attracting visitors’ attention, is the Fonteklaus residence. Originally built as a farm, it has been converted to a hunting castle, while today it hosts a tavern.
