This is a simple mystery multi cache suitable for children big
and small.
Each waypoint is a traditional cache and you can choose to find
them in any order.
The route has been specifically designed to be accessible and
fun for mountain bikes of all sizes. There are no stiles so should
be wheelchair and big wheeled buggy accessible too (although
getting to Waypoint #8 might require trial and error!).
The whole route is on bridle paths or on very minor country
lanes, with the exception of a few hundred metres on a 30 mile per
hour limit road. (Our 5 and 7 year old boys have cycled the route
with us.)
***You will need to be VERY careful crossing between Waypoint 6
and 7 as cars speed around the blind corner way too fast***
All the clues can be worked out in the field, but you might need
to print out some of the images below before you head out.
To get the coordinates for the final cache you will need to
visit most of the clue caches at waypoints 1-8 but, maybe, not
all.
Each clue cache contains either:
- A Suspect, a Weapon and a Room Card.
- A Room Card
The final cache contains three cards:
- 1 x Person - Murderer
- 1 x Weapon - Murder Weapon
- 1 x Room - Crime Scene
(This large cache also originally contains lots of cool swaps
for Cluedo sleuths young and old including: Cluedo card game,
magnifying glass, police hat and police badges)
To find the final cache you need to discover all the suspects as
they will each be able to tell you a number that will lead you to
the final cache. En route you will also need to deduce who is the
murderer, murder weapon and crime scene. (Please only share this
key bit of information on geocaching.com privately!)
When you have deduced “Who did it” then you will
know which of the coordinate puzzles below to put your numbers
into:
You may want to use the Detective Notes below to help you keep
track of your investigations:

Finding this cache can be combined with "Are you game enough?"
(GC2VW39), "Bedtime Stories" (GC2RTP2) and "Checkmate" (GC2VW85) to
give you some caches with swaps enroute.
There are several Cluedo themed caches around the world, I hope
that this one does justice to one of our favourite board games
too.
