Located at Sweetwater Pool on the Jatbula walkingTrail this cache is for those wanting a bush adventure.
Sweetwater Pool is a 4.3km walk from Edith Falls where sturdy footwear is required along with sun-sense and a water bottle. Many people go there for a day walk, some people camp overnight to maximise the surrounds.
The cache itself is a painted SPC fruit container under a rock out of sun & rain on top of the cliff
Cache should be readily found by Geocachers atop the cliff overlooking the falls/pool in a small rock cave. You've done the hard yards getting here. Make a day of it, take food bathers hat water & camping equipment or at least the billy to boil a cuppa.
Although rated by Parks as a 3-5 hour return (8.5km return), plan an overnighter at the cache site and enjoy a star filled night or back at Edith Falls campgrounds where your vehicle is parked.
Drinking water is at 2km, 3km & 4km out of theEdith River waterfalls/swimming spots along the way
For those walking the Jatbula Trail (From Nitmiluk Katherine Gorge to Edith Falls), you have to pass under this cache on your last day. Best access to cache is via the waterfall side. You'll know it when you get there.
