Geocache Description:

Located near our favourite stretch of Southsea beachfront, close to the Yomper gaurding the former Royal Marine Eastney Barracks.

Camoflaged cache, well it had to be, large enough to exchange small items, please bring your own pen.

Popular area with walkers/ joggers, windsrufers, the lot. Take care

Our first cache, in our home town on the peaceful and historic beachfront formerly used by the marines for training.

The statue of 'The Yomper' was made by sculptor Philip Jackson. It is modelled on a photograph of Corporal Peter Robinson yomping to 'Sapper Hill'.

If your ready for more caches then try heading towards the Eastney ferry for plenty including END OF THE WORLD.
