The Gillingham Gallop is a series of caches in a circular walk with the start being at the village hall where parking is available in the car park.
Unfortunately this walk is not buggy or wheelchair friendly as there are stiles to cross. There is plenty of wildlife to be seen as well as horses, a friendly donkey and some goats in the warmer months. As I was preparing this walk there was a 1 day old foal bouncing around a field. Please keep children close as this series will take you next to a busy road and along the banks of the river waveny.
This cache is a small clip lock box just off the path with the usual goodies inside and a reward for the FTF. Please use stealth when retrieving this cache as there always seems to be muggles walking along here. Also please cover this cache well so it is hidden from sight. BYOP
This section of the walk will take you past the old railway bridge, now demolished but on you right before you reach the cache you will notice engraved on the remaining part of the bridge LNER 1938 and across the river you will see the other part of the bridge which now has a building on it.
