Geocache Description:

Time to take a break from the football and see if you can find this cache.

On the edge of Bishops Cleeve Football Club grounds but accessible from the adjacent public playing field. The location is accessible on foot, but parking is close from either Kayte lane or Cheltenham Road.

Cache is a small 1litre clear plastic click lock box.

Founded in 1905 Bishops Cleeve Football team originally played on a ground in Stoke Road. The facilities at this ground were completely refurbished in 1971 but in 1995 the land was sold off for housing. The club spent a number of years sharing the grounds of other local teams until approval for this new site at Kayte Lane was given in 1997.

Following the teams promotion in 2001 the team had again to share another ground whilst extra work was carried out.

The club was able to return to Kayte Lane for the 2002-03 season after the new stand and floodlights were approved, to be followed in 2004 by a new clubhouse and changing rooms.
