Welcome to the Longleaf Pine Preserve
Longleaf Pine Preserve is located in Volusia County, approximately 3 miles east of the Volusia County Fairgrounds off SR44 and consists of approximately 12,000 acres. The preserve includes several natural communities, including me sic and wet flat woods, cypress strands, cypress domes and scrub.
The trails we used when planting this cache were all hard packed gravel or grassy and are great for hiking, biking or horseback riding. But keep in mind, portions of some of the trails may be subject to flooding. Cell phone reception should be good. And as always, bring plenty of water. Enjoy this piece of Florida. Take only memories! Leave ONLY footprints!
