Prior to the Angora Fire, a small pet cemetery existed here. It was not an official cemetery, just a beautiful little spot which became the final resting place for many local area pets. It was kind of a local’s secret. The Angora Fire raced through this area and destroyed the beautiful forest and many of the wooden crosses that marked the little graves. As you wander through this area you will still see the remains of some of the charred crosses and fractured concrete headstones. A few new graves have been placed since the fire.
