League of Idaho Cachers
Ample picnic areas, large amounts of open space and sports
facilities make West Park a focal point in the Nampa community.
This 44 acre park was built by the City of Nampa in 1978 and funded
by a Land and Water Conservation grant.
West Park is home to Nampa’s first softball complex that
offers four softball fields. The sport complex helps meet the
recreational needs of adult city softball, high school softball and
area youth softball leagues. The softball fields are topped with a
pumice mixture that provides a great playing surface. In addition
to softball fields, West Park offers a sand volleyball court, an
outdoor basketball court and a jogging and fitness path.
PARK FEATURES: Two covered picnic shelters(w/water and power),
Playground Equipment, Softball Fields (four), Public Restrooms,
Concessions, Basketball Court, Jogging and Fitness Path, Passive
and Active areas, Sand Volleyball Court, Drinking Fountain and Six
Geocaches.
In 2008, the Nampa Parks Department added a 9 hole Disc Golf Course
to the park system. The Disc Golf Course is located in West Park
and is enjoyed by many enthusiasts throughout the year.
