Geocache Description:

Micro cache at the Naruto German house.

In World War I, about one thousand German solders, captured in China, were spent 3 years (1917-1920) in this area. They can live here relatively free and enjoyable.

That is the reason that this town is the first place performed Ludwig van Beethoven's "Symphony No. 9" in Japan.

The (original) German house was built in 1972. The Naruto German house was renewed here in 1993.

There is also Road station. You can find several local foods. The 1st temple of 88 places in Shikoku "Reizan-ji" is also closed to here.

鳴門市ドイツ館にマイクロキャッシュを設置しました．
第一次世界大戦時に中国の青島より送られた約1000人のドイツ人俘虜がこの地域で1917年から1920年の3年間を過ごしたそうです．彼らは比較的自由を与えられ，収容所生活を快適に過ごせたそうです．

この地は日本で初めてベートーヴェンの第九が演奏された地でもあります．

こういった交流を記念して1972年にドイツ館が設立されました．1993年に新しくこの場に移設されました．

隣接して道の駅第九の里があります．また四国88箇所1番札所霊山寺もここからちかくにあります．
