Geocache Description:

This is a cache that was created to be part of the Gauteng Power Series (GPS).

The Gauteng Power Series (GPS) was created to offer Cachers the opportunity to achieve personal caching goals by using Grand Personal Selection (GPS) to decide how to hunt and find these caches, all in one day, or one by one over a period of time. Remember to Go Physically Safely (GPS) when you Grope, Peek and Search (GPS).

GENERAL

These caches are placed along the Krugersdorp-Pretoria Road R114.

They are sometimes hidden along the service road running parallel to the main road. Please make sure that you stop in a safe place and obey all traffic laws. Be on a look out for muggles at all times and place the cache back exactly as found.

Please bring your own pen!

ABOUT THIS CACHE: GPS - BURNT SHRUB

When we first hid this cache over a year ago, this was a burnt out shrub of just dead branches and no leaves or anything alive.

Then like a phoenix, this little shrub grew new branches from its base, and came alive again.

Coming back there today (15 Sep 2013), the shrub is now officially gone and due to a maintenance clean up exercise around the base of the telephone poles, we moved the cache to against the sandy embankment. It is hidden under an OPOR.

During non-peak traffic hours, this little spot is quite peaceful. If the grass in your view (your back to the road) is short, you can see a quaint dam in the distance. You can also hear a lot of grass-loving birds singing their happy tunes.

I forgot to record the type of cache used for this one - sorry!
