You are looking for a small container. No room for a writing utensil so BYOP. The coords have changed slightly due to the new placement, thus the terrain has been also slightly adjusted. Will see how the new spot works, if it gets muggled, we will move it again.
Please rehide the cache as found so it stays in place and is not out in the open.
Safe parking is off the HWY in designated area. No parking signs are along the HWY. Since this section of the new road has been completed it is open. MNDOT has now made the entrance/exit to the parking area a 1 way. Please enter from the east end and exit on the west end. Posted signs for no left turns across traffic lanes If you need there are turn around areas farther away on each end to safely make u turns if needed.
Located along Hwy 14. On google this area is called "New Ulm Spring Wayside Park" But the majority of people used to just drive by wondering what it was. Built in 1939 by the National Youth Administration in cooperation of the MN DOT. It used to be a spot that many people stopped at (my family included) years ago to get fresh spring water and stretch their legs. The area no longer functions for the water part but you can still pull over and stretch the legs, have a picnic, and let the dog out. It has been refurbished over the past 2 years and restored to more of its original look. An info sign is also now located near the lower picnic table to read about the history. If you do have a picnic there; please take your garbage back out with you. Several other picnic tables are up the hill along the paths - located to the west end of the pull off.
