Une source, des tables de pique-nique, et un point de vue à 180° sur la ville d'Embrun, les sommets qui environnent la ville et le lac de Serre Ponçon: c'est le belvédère de La Para.
Cet endroit superbe est accessible soit à pied depuis Embrun (chemin du mont Guillaume), soit avec une approche en voiture jusqu'au parking de la forêt (voir GC2VMKF) ou encore totalement en voiture. Le chemin depuis le parking de la forêt est un large chemin forestier empierré, sans pente, d'une longueur de 3 km. environ; un parking intermédiaire (PKGCIT) est possible à mi-chemin à la hauteur d'une citerne.
Ce belvédère peut être une étape vers le mont Guillaume (cache GCY9XE): un sentier rejoint la chapelle de Seyeres depuis la citerne.
Cette cache pourrait être une drive-in, si ce n'était le terrain bien en pente au niveau du spot. Évitez les talons hauts!... et surveillez les enfants.
[Eng] A source, picnic tables, and a 180° point of view on the city of Embrun, the mountains surrounding the town and the Serre Ponçon lake. This great place is accessible by foot from Embrun (Mont Guillaume path), either with an approach by car to the "parking area of the forest" or completely by car.
The path from the "parking area of the forest" is a wide stony forest flat road for a distance of about 3 km.; an intermediate parking (PKGCIT) is possible at midway near of a cistern.
This place can be an halt toward the Mont Guillaume: a footpath leads to the Seyers chapel from the cistern.
The cache would be a "drive-in" cache, but the ground around the spot is bad: avoid high heels ... and watch the children because the slope is severe.
