Several years ago I read about this piece of property being purchased for open space but I could never track down exactly where it was despite numerous visits to the area.
With the publication of the NYNJTC's brand new, New Jersey Highlands map I finally figured out where the property was.
There is a wide area along the shoulder where you can park. See coordinates below.
