This cache is located outside a small cemetery south of the hamlet of Seven Persons, on Highway #3 in southern Alberta. There is a large tombstone right in the middle, stating that burials were done in this cemetery from 1908 to 1939. On the back of the stone is a list of the names of people buried here, including “Man drowned in Dam 1925” and “Sheepherder in Blizzard 1927”. It also mentions “There may be others unknown”
The origin of the hamlet’s name is uncertain, but is thought to come from a battle between the Blood and Cree in which seven persons were killed.
