Coastal reserve. Easy parking nearby, on roadside, or in carpark 100m away.
This cache replaces Tramper Ted's first cache, 'Rocky Retreat' GCV1WD which seems to have become a victim to high tides. Tramper Ted migrated south. But in Easter 2011 Tramper Ted and Mapper Ted got together at Waimarama Beach, Hawkes Bay for a celebratory meal. See photo; Tramper Ted is white and Mapper Ted the brown bear. The two Teds agreed that Mapper Ted would establish a new cache very close to the old cache.
Urban beach reserve.
Great views of the harbour and Mangere Mountain. Lovely little urban bay and reserve. Ideal for picnics, children, BYO dog. Coastal walks at low tide and bush walk across the road.
Watch the little ones if tide is in. Many locals walk here.
Latest cache container is 200ml Sistema. Limited room for swaps. Now right on the high tide line and disguised as part of the environment.
