Geocache Description:


Gemini XII was the final Gemini flight. At the completion of the previous Gemini flight, the program still had not demonstrated that an astronaut could work easily and efficiently outside the spacecraft. In preparation for Gemini XII new, improved restraints were added to the outside of the capsule, and a new technique - underwater training - was introduced, which would become a staple of future space-walk simulation. Aldrin set an EVA record of 5 hours 30 minutes for one space walk and two stand-up exercises, and demonstrated improvements to previous EVA problems.

My wife and I enjoy walking these nice sidewalks near our neighborhood. This is #10 of the Space Race series. I recommend parking on Veterans Pkwy just north of the Freedom 7 cache.
