Geocache Description:

Nice cache in the immediate proximity of the cologne Statdtwald. The Church St. Joseph is a cultural highlight and the colored windows are particularly nice from the inside. Der Cache kann mit einem Spatziergang im Kölner Stadtwald verbunden werden. Achtung: der Cache ist wieder da. Nun als Micro (6.8.2011).

First a note in German: Achtung: Der Cache ist leicht zu finden und auf öffentlichem Straßenland. Es muß weder das Gelände der Kirche St. Joseph noch sonst Privatgelände betreten werden. Es gibt eine Hinweistafel zur Bedeutung der Kirche vor dem Eingangsportal.
The church St. Joseph was completely destroyed during world war II on October 30/31, 1944. In May 1953 was the laying of the foundation stone for a new ("hypermodern") building which was completed in September 1954 (Architects: Schwarz and Bernhard). Famous Reverend Frings was leading the parish before he became Cardinal lateron.

Note: The cache is on public ground and easy to find. You need not to enter the premises of the church or private property, climb walls etc.
