Geocache Description:

** Congrats to M0mmy0f3 and in particular her daughter Madison for FTF **

I am starting a cache series called Around the World in 80 Caches. While all of the caches are going to be relatively local I will keep a worldly theme to them. This is a tribute to Jules Verne and in particular one fantastic book - Around the World in Eighty Days.

Jules Gabriel Verne was a french author born in 1828 and pioneered the science-fictuon genre. Verne's novels included topics such as space, air, and underwater travel before air travel and practical submarines were invented, and before practical means of space travel had been devised. He is the third most translated individual author in the world and is often referred to as the "Father of Science Fiction".

Around the World in Eighty Days (French: Le tour du monde en quatre-vingts jours) is an adventure novel published in 1873. In the story Phileas Fogg of London and his newly employed french valet Passepartout take a wager to circumnavigate the world in 80 days. This is truly a great adventure story and reads like it was written yesterday not 138 years ago. I hope to do the novel justice with this series of caches.

This cache is placed on the property with the owner's permission. FTF take the gold coin in to the business (when they are open) and tell them you found the geocache and collect your prize. Please put the cache back exactly like you found it. Enjoy and good luck and look for a familiar symbol.
