Geocache Description:

This park is formerly a burial mound of the Buffalo Creek Reservation for approximately 300 members of the Seneca Nation of Indians. Among the individuals buried here at one point were Chief Red Jacket and Mary Jamison "the White Woman" of the Genesee. In the early 1900's this burial mound was endangered of being zoned "commercial" but was saved by Mr. and Mrs. John D. Larkin of the now extinct Larkin Company. This cache is dedicated to our pug Cocoa who as a puppy often enjoyed many walks here. Please stop and read the monuments to learn more about this unique park!
