Geocache Description:

The cache is a clip lock box in a dpm bag, should'nt be too hard to find. Although not directly overlooked look out for muggles. Sufficient space for TB and goodies.

‘Father of computer science, mathematician, logician, wartime codebreaker, victim of prejudice’

During the second world war he was one of the main participants at station Z –Bletchley Park.

Turing was an individualist and stories include that in the first week of June each year he would get a bad attack of hay fever, and he would cycle to the office wearing a service gas mask to keep the pollen off. His bicycle had a fault: the chain would come off at regular intervals. Instead of having it mended he would count the number of times the pedals went round and would get off the bicycle in time to adjust the chain by hand. Another of his eccentricities is that he chained his mug to the radiator pipes to prevent it being stolen. Lewin, Ronald (1978). Ultra Goes to War: The Secret Story. Classic Military History (Classic Penguin ed.). London, England: Hutchinson & Co (published 2001). ISBN 978-1-56649-231-7.

Between 4 September 1939 and the summer of 1944, Alan Turing lodged at The Crown Inn (now a private house)to be seen just behind you you can see a ghost sign with the old brewery names. Fearing invasion in 1940 he converted his savings into silver bars and buried them near Shenley. In 1944, 1946 and 1952 he tried to find them and failed. No-one knows what happened to his buried treasure!

FTF goes to MKGees for a very quick 19 minute from publishing find, congratulations.
