A quick park and grab in the North Quabbin Region
The Way the Water Flows
So much land in this area was taken when the Quabbin Reservoir was created in the late 1930. My family has owed land around here since the 1800’s. Our land, as well as that of our neighbors, was spared because of this little brook. McIver Brook runs into South Spec Pond, into North Spec Pond, Lake Rohunta, and into the Millers River. For that reason it was not classified as Quabbin Watershed, and I had the privilege to grow up here.
In the spring you will see a yellow flowering plant called Cow Slips.
