Geocache Description:

Alan...'s Cache

Welcome to the Parish Church of St. Peter and
St. Paul in Gosberton.

Congratulations to PenBed on the FTF.

There has been a church here for at least a thousand years. The remains of the earlier Norman Church are visible via specially made trapdoors in the floor.

The oldest bell pre-dates the Civil War. From the tower it is possible to see the hills beyond Stamford and also the Wolds.

Gosberton church has one of the Fenland’s loftiest spires (176 feet from ground level to the top of the spire) and has many unique features. There is space in the spire (above the tower) for over 20 people!

And while you are looking up at the Spire.... Look for the Elephant up there.

This Cache is Easily Accessible.

It is NOT in the church grounds

The Road can be Fairly Busy at times and you will be very close to the road near a bend so please take Extreme care with GeoKids.

You will need a little bit of stealth and please don't lose it.
