A short multi by Team Ladava continuing our historical tour of Sunbury.

From the Heritage Listing - Priorswood, is an important house in the townscape and history of Sunbury and is architecturally notable as a distinctive example of polychromatic Gothic Revival design. The Gothic Revival style was very little used for domestic buildings at this time. The detailing of the house generally is distinctive and the timber porch, window and gable detailing are all notable.
Priorswood, is a brick house erected to the designs of architect F Wyatt in 1878 for the Church of England. Asymmetrically composed, the design features gables and gabled wings, with decorative foots and chimneys. There is a detached, decorated timber porch. Roofs are in patterned bands and to frame the pointed windows. PLEASE NOTE. This is private residence so please respect the owner’s privacy. On to the cache.
