Welcome to our 4th cache.
This cache is near the Murray River
Fred Masters use to ride the river boats along the Murray from Echuca. He came across this beautiful spot, realizing that it never flooded here during the floods he put a claim on it.
In 1860 he built his home where he and his wife lived off the land and raised their family. Extra rooms were added as the family grew.
This spot became Masters Landing as the river boats use to stop here and unload supplies for the town of Gunbower.
Even now after 151 years the small place still stands
I hope you enjoy the history and beautiful spot.
