The terrain is a bit rocky underfoot so stout footwear is deffinately reccommended.
The cache is a nano in an unusual container.
This cache will take you off the circular route of our other caches, but only a short way and is well worth doing.
It is near a style and if you look into the field you will see the ruins of a very old chapel.
Mounton Church, Canaston Woods
This derelict chapel is in a lovely setting surrounded by forest and a good distance from any roads, which makes it nice and peaceful. I would imagine that the main reason that it fell into disrepair is that it can only be got to by a 15 minute walk, into the forest and across a field, it really is in the middle of knowhere!
Although isolated now, there are four old roads that converge on it, and there may be a lost village nearby. There are several springs to the east.
The cache was hidden with the kind permission of the forestry commision.
