Poverest Park is a standard recreation ground with a playground and various sports facilities, however Covet Wood (misspelt on some maps as 'Covert Wood') is a little oasis of calm in busy suburbia.

Whilst the wood is generally quiet, the main path is used by the occasional dog walker, so keep your eyes open.

The cache location was the home of the 1st Poverest Scout Group for many years. It was a wooden building with a corrugated iron roof.

Due to its location in the woods, it was always troubled by vandalism, culminating in a fire that destroyed the building in May 2001.
Since then, nature is taking over...
