Geocache Description:


Après la fermeture de la base plein air du Lac Malfait, la Ville de B.C. se servait du Lac Aber comme remplacement.
C’était beau très beau à voir avec les petits voiliers, les kayaks et les pédalos. Il y avait aussi, une plage pour la baignade publique, avec surveillance.
Mais, par crainte que l’eau était pollué, le nouveau propriétaire de l’aluminerie, Alcoa, a fermé le Lac Aber au publique

This lake used to be the focal point for water sports after the town closed Lac Malfait. We used to be able to rent canoes and kayaks and sailboats and paddleboats. Swimming was offered with lifeguard supervision.
Over the years lack of interest forced the town to close the lake and then when Alcoa bought out Reynolds they closed the lake to the public.
