Dean Wood is one of the few surviving ancient woods in the North of England
It runs approximately North - South and is bordered on the West by Dean Wood Golf Course.
The woods are a haven for wildlife and are well worthy of a visit to see the majestic oak, beech and sycamore rising out of the carpet of bluebells and wild garlic.
This series of caches take their names from some of Britains most famous golfers with one notable exception.
Sir Nick Faldo MBE has won 6 majors over his career and in the late 80's and early 90's was considered to be the best golfer in the world.
He was voted the BBC Sports Personality of the Year in 1989.
He now lives in Orlando Florida and works as a golf analyst for American TV as well as designing golf courses.
The cache is a small size click box which can hold small swaps, travel bugs etc.
The footpaths are generally in good condition but some areas may be muddy after rain.
Due to the heavy tree cover, the coordinates may not be exact.
