Geocache Description:

This is a multi-cache that will take you to three mailboxes in the area that are really cool. At each mailbox you will need to ascertain certain information that will lead you to the final location. Permission has been given at each waypoint for this multi-cache. This cache should only be done during daylight hours for two reasons: 1) out of respect to the property owners, and 2) the final location is located in place only open to the public between sunrise and sunset.

WP1

At this location you should find a Tin Man. The owner
of this mailbox was quite excited about the idea of including his mailbox in the cache. He informed me that the Tinman has been in the Oregonian and on the news for its creativity. Unfortunalty for this mailbox, it has had to go under the operating table a few times. At one point it was hit by a car, and they found the car because one of the arms got stuck in the radiator when it was hit. At this location, turn around and you will see some Lollipops. Get the phone number under the Lollipops to use it to find the final. Area code should be 503.

AA = All the digits of the phone number added together

WP2

At this location you should find an All-Time rushing leader in the NFL, a hall of famer. This guy was put together for a son by a father. The son loves the Cowboys – after all, they are Americas team – so of course he loves Emmitt Smith. At this location you will need to find a few things. 1) The jersey number, 2) how many times the jersey number appears on the jersey, and 3) the number of stars on the helmet .

BB = Jersey number

C = Number of times Jersey number appears on the jersey

D = Number of Stars on Helmet

E = Number of points on each star

WP3

Leave your fishing pole at home, you will not need it here. You can catch this fish with your bare hands. Please be extremely respectful here as the home owner agreed to the Multi-Cache, but didn’t want any problems from cacher’s on her property. Please if you take pictures here do so without including the house number in the picture (as requested by home owner). Once here, the needed information will be on the tall pole roughly 40 feet to the right of the mailbox. You should see a tag with a barcode, you will want to retrieve the number above the barcode (excluding the A).

FF = The number on the pole added together.

FINAL

The final location should take you on a short hike. You may even find other Traditional Caches nearby. To keep with the theme of all the stages, you will of course be looking for a mailbox. It has been painted brown with some green highlights to blend in well. You may want to bring a flashlight, it might help you find the cache even during the day. The walk does tend to get muddy during the rainy weather so make sure you bring the appropriate shoes. You can get the coordinates for the final location by doing the following equation:

N 45 (AA – (D * E)).(AA * BB + E)
W 122 AA.((BB * C) + FF – (D * E)

The Cache does have a pen in it (however it is only a ball-point pen so it may not always write well), a few pieces of SWAG, and a Revbuggy Signature Coin (1 of 25 non-trackable coins given to me as a birthday present) for the FTF.

I hope you enjoy your adventures. I had a fun time putting it together for you!

Congrats to NoBucksRanch and TrailTrekn for FTF!
