Geocache Description:

Easy access via well-maintained trail system.

This cache is located within One Mile Lake Park, a beautiful fresh-water lake situated along Highway 99, at the entrance to the beautiful Village of Pemberton. 20 minutes from Whistler. The lake and surrounding park area are a Nature Preserve combining a network of trails, pathways, bridges and raised wooden walkways. Trails go all around the lake providing different views, access to varied terrain and wildlife habitat throughout the year. In the spring and summer the area is teemming with life, and there is swimming. In winter, it is gorgeous and features ice-skating in ideal weather conditions. The trails that lead to the Nature Centre are a very easy walk and are used all year round by people strolling and walking their dogs. Please help by bagging trash out if you see it. The Nature Centre is a fish hatchery and interpretive centre, and is set to open June 2011. Building does not have to be open to find cache. The cache is a small camo box containing collectible pins.

The tourism info-centre is nearby with washrooms and maps.
